A Google user: This series is a gem for light strategy ala` fire emblem series.

A bit easy and short for me but it is great for begginners and those who wants a good pastime. What really makes this a great purchase is that is has NO IAP and NO ADDS. The survival mode is fun at the beginning but just feels repetitive after a few encounters. Also good for accumulating Google XP points. Can be a good challenge to finish it only on hard mode. My 8 year old son, for example, has already finished it in easy and normal. I would say short and linear but very good for beginners.

Rainy Daze: Easy to follow directions for beginners.

Matt Alex: Really enjoyed this but found it too short.

There's a bit of progression but the game is almost entirely linear and there's not a whole lot of depth to it both in terms of core gameplay or overall. You control your units on a little hex grid, with a few different unit types.

Had to tap on a the of the screen to access ability but it didn't work. Could not get past the stage warm my archer gained a special ability. Other than that, I kept waiting for it to get better and it never did.
